Pretty water today. It settled down niecely.
breeze out of the SE at 10 - 12
not much to report today. a few small bonnetheads and little blues
The only fish of note was a 3 lb spanish caught this morning

we got slack water right now, I'll post later if anything picks up with the incoming tide

Jigging of course...........always works the best for me

i like gotcha plugging better but when they are schooling underneath the pier, jigging works better

Even when the spanish are not schooling under the pier, have always had the best luck with jigs on the pier. Was out their several times while others were using gotcha plugs and the jiggers had the most catches. Jigging is best on the piers from experience. :fishing:

jigging catches more, gotcha's produce bigger heavier fish. Spanish will also not school under the pier, they are an open water migratory fish, they are always moving, schools may swim through, but they do not hang around the pier.
