We went down to the Garden City Pier Monday evening around 4PM until about 7PM. Using cut shrimp, my roommate caught a decent spot and some sort of crazy looking fish (flying fish?). The spot was at least 6 inches.
All I got was an 8.5 inch spot.
Including our three, we probably saw at least 10 fish reeled in during out 3 hours. 7-8 were spots.

thanks for the report...I' ve been slacking off lately but plan on trying my recently bought (casting float) off the pier or calm surf to see if it can catch me a few fish in this slow time:fishing:

Hey Outfishin28,

Yeah, the bigger sea robins are in fact pretty tasty. I have eaten them once (fried fillets).
