Those that are seeking fresh bait,there was a large school of 2-3 inch menhaden @ the Great Neck bridge on Sunday morning,low tide.

There was smaller fry also.They were congregated near the bank at the one end of the wall.
This scholl of bait may have been the remnants of the blitzing frenzy @ Lynhaven inlet.

Nserch, I've (fortunately :D ) had the opportunity to clean fish every day this weekend and everyone of them except 1 had the same thing in their bellies. This is just a habit of mine to see what they are eating so I know what to fish with. I'm not typically a bait fisherman, due to lack of patience, but there are a lot of lures that swim like a menhaden. It may of been that was the only food available but the old saying of "match the hatch" usually works.
