Fished Freeman Park yesterday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. High tide was 3:30 p.m. Fished with fresh shrimp and 3+ year old shrimp flavored fish bites and we couldn't keep our lines in the water. A ton of under-sized mullet and spot. Did not see any finger mullet till about 4 p.m. Had one line broken off fishing with a mullet head and also was able to bring in a two and a half foot shark on live finger mullet. No sand fleas to be found, which was unusual because I usually find some no problem.
Word to the wise, deflate your tires before attempting Freeman Park. The sand is extremely soft right now. Saw four different vehicles stuck including a z71 and a Jeep Grand Cherokee that didnt make it 10 feet into the sand.

Thanks for that report. Any time you don't have time to rest is a good day on the water! We are looking to start fishing Freeman and the fort in the fall after I can ditch my corolla for a 4wd.
How is Freeman on weekdays in summer? Never been there but have heard you can forget weekends during summer.

Be sure to take keeter's advice. I did not deflate my tires Sunday afternoon, not knowing how the sand would be. Struggled all the way to the inlet. Dropped down to 20 lbs and then I went anywhere I wanted with no trouble at all. That sand is super soft. Fished the outgoing tide for about 2 hours with mullet heads. No bites.
