Usually use 20 pound mono ,but am getting bitten off by the toothy criters. Is flouro more resistand to teeth? If so what pound would you suggest for inshore and ICW fishing. Blues, flounder, reds and trout? Or would it be better to use mono and step up to 30 pound? Thanks in advance.

If it's shark the fluro won't help.
if it's big blues alot of people use wire the last 12" or so. you know the snaps with wire attached.
flounder, reds, trout will not bite through 20.

I've caught some sharks and always use wire. I was wondering more about blues in the 14 to 20 inch range. Have lost a few on the 20 mono. Just wondering if anyone had any preference between 30 mono and flourocarbon of similar or heavier poundage.

I use 80lb big game and have never had a blue bite thru it. It will frey after a while so be ready to change it after a dozen or so blues but I absolutley hate messing with the wire that kinks and gets knoted. I fish for all the above daily
