FL FISHERMAN Returns To The Sunshine State

Have the pleasure of meeting FL FISHERMAN and his friend this weekend . We will be out on the water and let you all know how we make out . Fishing the Inlet , Indian and Banana Rivers .

Saltwater: Bluefish, jack crevalle, Spanish mackerel and pompano can be found along the Intracoastal Waterway Channel between Grant and Fort Pierce. Anglers are picking up catches by drifting with live shrimp, finger mullet or casting spoons and jigs. Pompano prefer the shrimp or small jigs tipped with shrimp. At times, anglers can see pompano skipping along boat wakes. Bluefish, mackerel and jacks will often feed on baitfish and create surface activity, which anglers can target when searching for these fish.
Port Canaveral, Sebastian and Fort Pierce inlets should also have roaming jacks, bluefish and mackerel. Anglers on Canaveral's Jetty Park Pier are picking up mackerel and blues when casting spoons, jigs and Sea Sharks or cut finger mullet. At Sebastian, the north jetty has been the best area for catches, with black drum also roaming the area. At Fort Pierce, try casting lures off the the catwalks or along the south jetty.

Surf catches of pompano and bluefish are also good along Brevard and Indian River County beaches. Most anglers are finding pompano around inlets and along outside edges of coquina rock. Bluefish are scattered and will hit live and cut finger mullet .

Hope we get into some Fish .
:)

Hooked up with FL FISHERMAN and Kapt Chris about 2 Pm. We headed to the Inlet . Outgoing tide , we were using live Mullet Crokers and Pins . Not a bite . We fished a few diff spots but NADA . We tried to get out of the Inlet into the ocean but it was just to rough . I am glad Kapt Chris along with a couple concearned passengers decided to head back into more friendly waters . We anchoured just below the south catwalk and tried our luck which was not to great . At that time we saw 5 people in a boat which was smaller then the boat we were in try to make it out of the Inlet . It made it out of the Inlet and turned south and about 10 mins later we saw a Helicopter hovering over the area in the direction of which they were headed . Then we heard over the speaker from the helicopter , " Don't Worry Help is on its way ."
Well we all know what happened to the crew . 15 min later Fire Rescue and the Coast Guard went flying out of the Inlet to the rescue . After that we were glad that we did not push the issue .
It was a P&S moment for sure .:D

This place could kill ya if your not careful

Koz--in a boat, AGAIN!!!!!

Expect you to be pulling in to the MLB BCH pier in your boat and fishing the pier from it!

Fishing on the beach really sucks, as you are well aware. Happy New Year to you and hope the water gets warm this year.
