Shock leader For???? Spinner, conventional, 8nBait Drum fishing , mullet fishing, throwing metal for blues..??

Sorry about that. 13' conventional with 8 & bait with 20# test mono throwing cut fat heads or mullet for Drum fishing.

I haven't found any reason to use anything other than 50lb clear ande or big game as shock to throw up to 12oz plus a chunk. Knot selection is your preference. I like the spider hitch to no name simply because it's the smallest knot I can reliably tie at the moment. I prefer 20lb main but will be trying out some 16 too this year.

Berkley Big Game 50lb clear for shock leaders on drum rods. Tried all the other ones and after almost 20 years of drum fishing, always come back to the BG.
Used ande for many years,but about 30yr ago went to Berkley bg ain't looked back.. For drumfishing it is the chit,but for fishing in clear to semi clear water for pomps and seamullet,Bronzback has a point with the floro....
