Looking for a fishing canoe in the 12 to 14ft range. Its just going to be me going using it so lighter weight is a must. Not looking for a junker, but doesn't need to shine either. I live in Chesapeake VA and get home from deployment in a few days.

Take a look at a "Gheenoe" / "Ganoe" ( different spellings ) . . .

It would let you easily add a small motor ( electirc or gas ) later, if you wanted to!

I'm local to you Greg.I know a few boat buddies that don't use there canoe no more. I'll see them this weekend and ask around for you. But you can rent John boats at Bob fishing hole and there's a place under the west Norfolk bridge that rents them to for cheap..
