Caught 4 pompano and a perch. All on real shrimp alone or tipped with bw fishbites.
All fish were released. Only because they were very very small.
Weather was nice. A little breezy. Overcast. And waves were a little choppy.
Must be from that weather thingy that's near Bermuda.

This one is the first pomp I caught out there this year. Little fella got too close a look at the bait.

Never seen pomps at Chixs before. Can I ask what type of rig you were using and was it on the outside of the pilings or in between?

I've been catching pompano quite a bit recently at Ft. Story just up the street from Chix. For me it was a standard 2-drop rig on bloodworm fishbites. Hooked right up.

I heard that when the water gets super warm, pomps can be caught in that area. Nice catch. Pretty looking fish too.

I was using a basic store bought high/low rig. Wasn't fishing under the bridge.
