We are mounting a trip to Nags Head and will be fishing from the piers. My question is which of the FishBite line of baits have you folks on the board had the most success with. ie, blood worm, shrimp, sand flea, or any others. Thanks a bunch!

We usually fish the bloodworm and sand flea bites. Both catch fish and some days one may be more productive than the other. Whichever you choose cutting a good size is as important as the type. Smaller bait usually equals more hook sets for us.

I take the "long lasting" FishBite in bloodworm, shrimp and sand flea one pack each. I cut a 1/2" piece and bait up (cut it with small stainless scissors) it don't take much. I put one flavor on one hook and another flavor on another hook until I figure what they want that day. I've caught black drum, mullet, puffers, croakers, pomps, spot on every flavor on certain days.
Actually I like it better than real shrimp cause them little pesky bait robbers can't get it off as fast
Good luck!!

Fished Avon, Rodanthe, and Hatteras last couple of days. The little pig fish, yellow tails, and pinfish were hell on our shrimp so I started fishing EZ flea fish bites and did not get any hits on them. The fish bites were orange and fresh. Tried cutting them in different sizes and even diagonally but no joy.

I finally took out a sabiki rig and tipped the little hooks with shrimp and caught all the little bait stealers which we cut up for bait.

Long Lasting Bloodworm is a staple that tends to work about any day in my experience, so I always have a bag of that with me. Also had the bite go nuts on other flavors some days, and they won't touch it the next day. Orange or Pink EZ Shrimp works well sometimes. No luck on EZ Flea yet for me.
