Hello all,

I am new to this forum and to surf fishing.
We own a boat and fish in the New York bight but due to my work schedule we have had very little time on the water and even less time fishing. So I owe my son and myself some quality time with each other.
We will be in Virginia Beach and Corolla / Buxton, NC in the cumming weeks.
I would appreciate some info on where, when and how to fish these areas.
I know I'm asking alot but any info will help, even if it is the name of a local tackle shop where I can get some advice, because while a bad day of fishing beats a good day at work, a good day of fishing just can't be beat!

Thanks in advance for your help and patience!

If it's going to be a week or two before ya get here I would say keep your eyes glued to the Va and NC board, it is bad enough things change from day to day but a week the fish can be 40 miles in any direction. Ya might even want to keep a charter boat trip in mind.

Buxton area... reddrumtackle.com will give you some good info. Sign onto their forums page and ask away, not much going on down there now a few specks, sea mullet and BIG sharks real big sharks bigger than novice would want to deal with :) no offense intended.
