I always hear of big drum and stripers blitzing on the outer banks (the point, kitty hawk , oregon inlet )in the fall.
1. What kinda action can I expect in the fall from topsail to wilmington ?
2. what makes the the outer banks a better fish magnet than southern NC
ex.(stucture,migration etc.....)

It doesn't get any better than at Topsail.

For ALL the info on the southern NC coast, Dr. Bogus is the guru.

He's gone to a subscription deal now, but if you fish that area, it's a bargain.

kings, flounder, spot and drum............ maybe a cobia migrating south. as far as northern coast being the magnet. if you look at a map its about 25-30 miles farther east toward the gulf stream that topsail area. topsail and wilmigton are in whats considered the onslow bay . The Capt. of the "vonda Kay" usually puts you on the fish. as far as 4 x 4 acess the only place i know there that allows it is northern end of island
