after much research and thought and comparisons for the under 200 dollar mark i decided to go with the penn ssv 6500.
it looks and feels like a solid reel .. sealed unit and not too heavy. hope i made the right choice. i had it loaded with 20 lb mono.
i bought some 50 mono for leader. problem now is which knot will not hit the eyelets to hurt casting ,,,or just run one short enough to stay outside the
eyelets ? the wife got me a tsunami 10 MH rod for christmas,,,looks like a decent basic rod .... will give it a go and see how it cast and holds up but still wondering about the leader length and knot to go with .......................
