Hey gotta problem:
Tica rod won't fit in my Fish-n-Mate surf rod holder.The end cap on the end of the rod's butt Huge.Any1 have this same problem?The butt can fit when I take the protective plastic sleave off the surf rod holder.I am thinkin of either removing the end cap or sanding it down.

Get in touch with Ryan at Hatteras Jacks. He has several slim plastic end caps that will fit on the butt and makes it much easier for use as well. They are usually only a couple of bucks.

you can also buy chair tips. they are four in a pack at 1.50-2.00. check the but diameter and get cap to fit. if it's too big build up but with masking tape to make a fit and epoxy it in place.
