Fished this afternoon. Good day four whiting between a pound and a pound and a half on a fish finder with a 6/0 octopus circle cut mullet as bait. Couple of rays and a toad on double drop rig with shrimp as bait. Wind and current were a b!tch today. Took 6 oz to keep it stuck.

Fished all day today. Morning was slow with a few short black drum. This afternoon caught a whiting that weighted 2lbs several others in the 1 1/2 pound range. 3 speckled trout and a couple blues. Went to Bogue Inlet Pier tonight after supper and they were catching spot as quick as they could pull them over the rail. Hopefully they'll be in the surf tomorrow

Did you fish down at the point at all? We did pretty well with the pups both slot and over slot last weekend. Left edge of the slop one day and right edge the next. Also flounder just below legal and mucho bluefish.

No sir we're near the middle of the island. Didn't go out to the point. Inlaws like to fish in front of the house. Fished all day today. Just a couple small whiting and some blowfish. I caught 8 skate. One was about 10 lbs. Felt like i was hooked to a pickup truck.

We're fishing tonight. Hope to catch some drum.

Father in law caught a 46 inch drum in the surf tonight. No idea how to post pics. Some one tell me how and I'll put one up.

Last day. Fished all day had a couple toads big enough to keep. 15-20 short flounder. Biggest 14 1/2 inches. One blue about a pound. Going back out tonight looking for another drum.
