I will be down the 28th to the 7th. Neighbor says there are decent fish in the surf but sporadically. Where are you staying?

Near the Dollar General on Ocean Drive.

Went for a while yesterday tons of blues on gold spoons and white and gold es lures. Plenty of mullet in the surf sporadic schools of albies passing through hooked up with one but he got off after a long run. Tried for sea mullet and spot nada. Tried live mullet for flounder caught one short. Blues kept me busy saw one nice spanish caught also.

Also recent wind and storms have really filled in a lot of the beach structure.

Throw out a big drum bait too if you can. 46" landed at bogue pier last night and I hooked one over 40" right at dark on my trout rod

Man I'd love to catch a 40" drum. I've got a rod rigged for big bait. Can't wait to get down there.

I'm gonna try and make it on the pier for one tomorrow sometime hopefully. Been hitting chunks of bluefish from what I heard. Good luck! The one on my trout rod was 30 feet off the beach
