heading down this weekend for some much needed fishing and was curious if it is legal to cast net the drainage ditches off highway 12 near Oregon inlet fishing center? I don't feel like getting a ticket if it is a no go. Will be posting fishing report as I go as well.

Perfectly legal as long as you don't interfere with traffic..

Usually I always catch bait across the road from Camp Hatteras campground. At the abandoned parking lot on bay side. I never ask but I was usually staying at the campground.
