Anyone ever targeted spiny dogfish? The interweb says they’re good eating? I’m going to nags head this weekend and saw a report that they’re biting!

They are always biting this time of year. Never ate them, but I hear they taste pretty well. Give them a try and let us know. I’d rather be fishing for specks or rockfish right now, but those doggies will surly get in the way if bottom fishing. I’m sure you will land some. Try the south side of Oregon Inlet at the old Coast Guard station for a great striper hole. By the way, the smooth ones ain’t much different than the spinies. A doggie is a a doggie.

Yeah, ocean rock are a legend now and the surf trout elude me. Dogfish have no rules or regulations and I’m about that life!😁

Looks like the weather is going to suck this weekend. As I’ve mentioned before the weather is always bad on my days off. When I get a chance to go and if I catch some I’ll report how they fry up!
