Heres a cool tool that you can make for about 2 cents. Heres how to make a rigging needle:

1) Get a clothes hanger (the metal kind) and cut to desired length.
---If you're a surf fisherman that fishes with eels, a 10-12" length is desired.
---6" will rig most fish, but for offshore trolling with ballyhoo step up to a 8".

2) Now, get a hammer and pound one end of the cut hanger and make the pounded area about 1/4" long.

3)Drill a hole in the pounded area (center it as best as you can) with a 3/32" drill bit (or somewhere around there.)

4) Now, get a file or a bench grinder if you have one and make the other end sharp.

This tool is used by tying your line in the drilled hole and pulling thru bait at desired point then, pushed out thru it's skin.

GOOD LUCK---dont hurt yourself---

TopSnipe, 6" will work for about anything that you regularly use bait-wise. The cool thing is that you can make these thing for about 2 cents as opposed to buying a commercially made one for 4 bucks.
