Went to Denbigh Pier for about 4 hours yesterday. Didn't have the greatest of luck, but it was good to get out and fish. Caught about 5 white perch and lost an eel at the bank. No catfish, but did see others catching. Most of the luck was the corners of the pier where people would cast way out into the current. My bait was night crawlers. Heres to a good season!

bob...had some luck with menhaden at Bennett's Creek so maybe give that a try. Mullet would probably work as well and stay on the hook better. That eel would have been good bait. Talked to a guy who said he had luck with gudgeons...tried that last year without any luck.

I like night crawlers because the crabs stay away, and I've had decent luck before with them. I might have to try menhaden though. I was hoping the eel would've stayed on, because it really would have been good bait.
