On my way to fish va potomac...need to decide colonial beach or westmoreland

I'm at the westmoreland state park on the beach near the fishing pier. Only staying til dark.

The bite was constant when I first got there as it was raining a little. As soon as the rain stopped, the water was like glass and there wasn't much happening. It also appeared to be low tide.

That said, nice place to fish. Lots of beach and just a few people. I caught a few croakers and an undersized rockfish.

I will return - only this time to fish before and after the high tide and probably at night.
