I'll be spending several days in Orange Beach AL, beginning the day after Christmas. I have done a great deal of surf fishing in the October and May timeframes in OB, with pretty good success, but I've never been there in December. I'm wanting to hit the surf several times while I'm there, and am planning to target whiting, black drum, and whatever else may be biting. If anyone has any experience in December surf fishing in OB, I'd really appreciate any advice you could provide. If anyone is interested in joining me, send a PM and we'll talk. Tight lines!

Have you caught red drum in Oct. and May at OB, if so any size to them?, thanks...pop. As you probably already know, the water temp will dictate what you will catch in Dec., good luck.

Yes, both times...14-20 inches, all released unharmed. Not a great many, but enough to keep it interesting.

Thanks. One of my friends are planning a trip to OB in the near future, but not sure if he is going to fish, I know I would!
