Hello all, first post. I recently came across this Daiwa US-80XA. It's an enclosed underspin and that's literally all I know about it. I only fish spinning reels so I'm familiar/comfortable with an underpsin. However, I was hoping someone on here had some more information on it or could point to the right place to post this. Thanks and tight lines.

This is what it looks like (Haven't figured out how to put pics off my phone on here)

Cool thanks. Is it supposed to have an anti-reverse?? It reels both ways. Again, treat me like a newbie on this bc I'm fairly new to the sport and only use spinning reels with no reverse. I came across it while researching this strange telescoping rod that I'm also completely stumped on. I was thinking its a crappie rod of some sort but needs a casting reel of some sort because the rod eyes are all small.

It would go on a spinning rod and not a baitcasting rod...

It might have a button on the bottom of the reel to turn on/off the anti-reverse - just like most spinning reels have...

Would work great for any lightweight spinning rod...

Sandcrab, it only has a drag knob on the back and that lever which releases the spool. I guess it's designed to be that way, but i just wanted to see if anyone was familiar with them before taking it apart and greasing/lubing it up. Smoothlures, I plan on putting it on this weird 11ft telescoping carp rod and start a little freshwater. As of now my smallest reels are 4000s on med/heavy 7ft rods and I only really fish inshore saltwater.
