Since I'm always lurking for reports. I guess I will post something. Well we planned to rent a boat on Sunday at Cobb Island and they were all out by 5:45 am. So we head to Solomon and tried at Bunky's. We get out about 7:30 am and start catching croakers about 12-13 inches instantly with several double hitters. It was hit or miss and the wind was terrible. We bounced around all day with water coming into the boat often. We managed to catch 20 croakers each on squid, shrimp and bw. Still sore and tired. We were amazed we didn't catch any perch. Until next time:fishing:

Thanks for the report. A 13'' croaker these days is a "horse" LOL!!. I can't recall when was the last time I've caught a 13''. It has been nothing but between 9'' and 10'' (and lots of them too). So, I hope to finally bring some home this year.

If you want some perch try in the middle of the bridge Rt underneath. Use #6 Ls hooks with chartreuse or orange blades. That what I use for spots and WPs .as for croakers bigger than 13 inches, either at night or in the bay south of solomons.
