Anybody know the status of the cleanup at North Beach? It would be great if they could clean up the mess that's snagging our lines that limits our fishing. The snagging severely limits the general are of the pier for fishing unless you drop your line no more that 50 feet? Our longcasting friends are the only ones with the advantage. Where can we request that?

That cable I am afraid will still be there along with what ever trash that is on the bottom..The crab pots will be there again this year and out about the same distance..If you can throw a couplle hundred feet you will be around the edge of the crab pots .. They did have some luck doing that last year..I still believe the biggest problemwill be the people with light lines and light rods with round bank sinkers who cast in the current and cross every one's lines..That is why I am glad I live 7 blocks away and can pick my times that I fish there..
I actually plan to do a lot of my fishing at pax river (rec center and the base) this year..I really like it there.

To be honest I have not checked yet was thinking about calling tomorrow..I will let you know..If the same as last time I was there (August 2002) Can escort one carload per id..This from the marine mp on the gate..I am lookin forward to going back though.
