Went to conowingo dam yesterday evening to try my luck. Was only there for a little over an hour since something suddenly came up. But in the time I was there even though I didn't personally catch anything the guys close to the dam were tearing it up. Seemed like every other cast they were hooked up. I had one big hit early on but didn't set the hook well enough. But overall it was a good learning experience. Looking forward to trying again!

Quite a bit keeper rock but I didn't see any cats. And yeah about 9 guys lined up in waders close to the dam. They were the ones doing all the catching

I would certainly bring the waders along at this point. Hopefully you learned a little while you are there. Our greatest assets are our eyes and ears. Watch the cadence of the "line", pay attention to the flow of water, the weights being used by others and the rates of retrieve. You will lose gear occasionally if you are fishing the damn correctly so come prepared. Wish you luck on your next trip.
