I am using a Gama 9/0 Hd circle. My drum rigs are snelled @ 3-4" fer distance. Planon going to Buckroe Sat am.. Should I make some up with longer snells to get the slimy-snakes more room ??

What is the standard snell length fer using eels..

Custer, I use my standard drum rig, they don't seem to get as twisted up with a shorter leader. Corse if ya have a real frisky one he's gonna twist ya up no matter what.

Hey Custer enjoy the day out there. I normally go with a6-8inck leader splitting the difference of 80lb flouro. for the hook I go it a J hook in the 5/0 to 7/0 range. I tryed Gami Octpus Circles and I could never get a hook up on a Cobia with those, I also lost alot of eels because the barb was to small and they wiggled off the hook. I learned about this while checking my bait and it popped off in front of me. Circle work well for some, but for Cobia and a eel I want the J. The HD's may work if the barb is big enough.
