From the Charlotte Observer:

• A 95-pound cobia in the Cape Point surf at Buxton by Joel Tomberlin, and a 63-pounder by William Tomberlin. Both men are from Asheville.

The untold story:

Bill is a relative of a friend and an avid fisherman. Joel is his son and can't spell fish without a dictionary. Bill was soakin bait on Monday (6-19) when the 63 lb'er hit. It was his personal best. The following day Bill was soaking more bait (while Joel was tossing a football) when the 95 lb'er hit. Bill yelled for Joel, who came over and fought the fish for 45 minutes.
