hey fellow fishermen.....i was wondering how would i go about chumming from the surf.....going to norfolk soon and would like to chum from shore.....thanks to all

Of coarse you can only do it on an outgoing tide, but be careful, find out the laws in norfolk. virginia beach it is illegal to chum within 500 yards of shore. big fines. but if it is ok, lawfully that is, I think you just set a chum bucket out on the bottom about 10-15 ft in front of you and let the tide take it out.
