Do i need to pay to get a pass so i can drive my truck close to the surf? If so where can i get the pass? Thanks in advance...

Yes, you definitely need a pass. You can get one at the Rangers station on the right, just before you get on the beach. You can buy there for just the Virginia side or you can get a pass to cover both AI in MD and Chinco in VA. Lots of flavors to choose from.

Their parking on the VA side is right next to the beach and a very short carry to fish. If you want to drive the beach as mentioned it's $70 a year. Daily park access is $8, weekly $15 and yearly $30.
