Plenty of kingfish in the surf along with some chopper blues, on the bay side you can find hardheads. I'llalso be there for the weekend but Sunday and Monday might be hard fishing with the tropical depression off the coast. You can PM me for some other info

Tides over 6 ft today. Seems that number will go up to 7 ft tomorrow.
As for Tuesday....can't say for sure. Local weather guy hasn't given an estimate beyond Monday.
Be safe.

BTW....I can't believe you haven't left "one" available spot in you PM's out of 100 in case I wanted to wish you a happy birthday or pass on valuable info.:D

I fished just one evening for a few hours behind the hotel we stayed at.

I think they call the water the Chincoteague Channel. Water was moving really fast from right to left if the causeway was to your right. I think a lot of water was pushed into the channel. When we left Saturday the little canal next to the hotel was clear and was down a lot.

Caught 1 black bass. Lots of grass in the channel. What do they called that brown color grass on the bottom? That stuff was thick.

It was to hot to and buggy to fish the surf on Wednesday.

You must have been staying at the comfort suites, that water moves that fast all the time usually you can get some good croaker there. I was on the beach Friday Saturday and Sunday and it was slow, Sunday was bad with the flies. The grass might have been the dead marsh grass.

Yep. That is where we stayed. Very nice place. I want to go in the fall. Right now it looks like we might go to OC for a few days in early October.

Looks like a nice pier in Cape Charles.

We will be in OC for crusin weekend and might fish that Thursday. Cape Charles has a nice little beach but I've never fished from it but the water is only a few feet deep for about 100 yds. but the pier looks nice and Kiptopeke State Park is close to that also
