Hello all looking for a little info on fishing for catfish here, Im familiar with Chickahominy WMA because I hunt there on occasion but Im inquiring on where to set up for some catfishing on the riverfront park area? I know there is a pier there I was just curious if there are places there to fish from shore, anyone have any experience??? Thnx geo

I think the pier is nice, it has no rails. As far as the fishing goes I can't tell you of any sweet spots from the pier. Just cast out as far as you can. I've stayed at the campground, its nice. The pier is free and open 24hrs. I know there is a fish cleaning station and there MAY be lights at night. Not 100% sure on that one.

I have fished there before with some success. There is a t pier and on the left side there is a rig catcher. I snagged about 3 lbs of riggs but it was a hell of a fight.
