Hello. I am taking a vacation with the family. Driving down to Virginia Beach tonight. I checked the weather and it looks like tonight and tomorrow are the only days I can fish without worrying about rain.

Is Sea Gull Pier open 24/7? (That's what I read, but I would like to confirm in case someone has been there recently) I am taking bloodworms, frozen spot, and frozen alewife as bait.

Does Sandbridge/Little Island Pier close at 5pm? (Again, just confirming since things change over time). It also looks like the pier closes on Friday (4/01).

I'm assuming that surf fishing is 24/7 near Sandbridge?

Sorry for a lot of questions, but it's my first time going down there and I want to get it right. Thank you in advance!

Oh, and am I going to catch anything with that bait or am I wasting my time? I don't care what I catch... I'll be releasing all of them. I would like to catch something other than white perch, striper, american eel, alewife, dogfish, and catfish. Tog/flounder would be nice but I understand that I have to fish near structures and change bait.

Tog at cbbt is a good bet live fiddler crab or the freshest head on shrimp you can find would be best as bait for tog.

Yup, you are right. Caught about 10 little catfish and 1 skate. There were a couple of other guys on the pier pulling skates all night. They said they caught one croaker earlier in the night.
