Ill be in eastern Virginia April 7 - 16. More specifically Ill be on the north side of the CBBT near Cape Charles. Ill have a kayak but would like a few pointers as to what I should bring gear for. I've been there before in the fall but no idea as to whats being caught in the spring. I already plan on hitting a few farm ponds, but would like to get some lines salty for a change.

Any info would help. Thanks.

Togs only.
If you bring a kayak, fish the Concrete Ships off the Kiptopeake State Park for togs. Google and Google Map about tautog fishing and the area. The place is safe usually.
Or you can look for my videos titled, "--kipto ---". L

I think you may catch flounder of off Wise Point. I will fish there one day.

Thanks for the info.

I did have another question though. If I'm reading the regs correctly, my MD Coastal and Bay license is recognized in VA coastal waters, is my interpretation correct?. I don't want to waste money on a license I don't need.
