I use my surf & pier tackle here in the Santee Cooper lakes for catfish, so I would say yes, if the catfish tackle is similar. As for the circle hook sizes, I'm sure that's going to depend on what you plan on targeting. I'm more interested in smaller eating size catfish, most under 10 lbs, so generally use 4/0 or 5/0 circle hooks. I have used larger & smaller, depending on where I was fishing.

I've never fished at either one of those piers and last pier fishing I had done was years ago at Holden's in NC. We used fairly light tackle there, catching mostly Whiting and Sand Perch.

For smaller blue catfish we use the same double bottom rigs that are used for spot, croaker and whiting.

Size 4 and 6 J-hooks or circle hooks for spot, croaker and whiting.

Size 2/0 to 5/0 circle hooks for small catfish. Larger hooks for larger catfish.

Can people use catfish tackle in on piers ? Whwt size circle hooks would u use off buckroe pier or green mile pier.
You certainly may, but tackle designed for saltwater isn't finished the same way that freshwater tackle is. Be sure to rinse your rods, reels and any terminal tackle you used or exposed in plenty of fresh water or you'll have a rusty mess on your hands in no time.
