Had a real pretty sky this morning with a decent forecast so I grabbed the last of my live fiddler crabs and a bag of frozen ones and jumped on my jet ski. Ran from my house to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Third Island. Started off slow with a couple small Togs but within an hour the bite picked up real good. Caught at least 20 Tautog, a couple of sea bass and of course some Oyster Toads. Once the bite got good they did not care if the fiddlers were live or frozen, got hit as soon I was on bottom. Great couple of hours, kept three 19-21 inches. Did not see any bait coming or going on my 48 miles round trip. Burned 8 gallons. Here are a couple pictures from today.

What do you suspect caused the damage on the dorsal fin? I caught one just the same on Tuesday, little bit bigger "bite" or notch. We had a good day Monday with 12-15 fish and a solid 2-man limit biggest going 20" each. Tuesday was slower with 8 or so total and 3 dinner fish. Small specks in the Lynnhaven and 2 small Striper under the dock lights after sunset, one of which was just shy of 20"

Wow ... Had a d5100 and then a d7000 but had considered the d5300. You must have some good glass on it I guess, or is it all about the skills of the shooter
