Are there any good camp grounds around the ft fisher area looking to camp in a tent with a bunch of kid's thanks for any info . hoping to let them surf fish.

Look at Carolina Beach State Park. It is a real nice facility located adjacent to the Cape Fear and Snows Cut. Good fishing there and a lot of activities for the kids. It is a few miles (4-5) from Fort Fisher.

if you qualify or have someone in the party that does, you can camp at the Fort Fisher Military Recreation Area. It is at Fort Fisher basically.

We just got home frome cbsp. I've camped there half dozen times. Not a bad place to stay at all.
