Took the skiff to Broad Creek in DE today with my 2 boys for the white perch everyone was catching last week Never got on the whites but found the motherload of yellow perch. Quite a few were 13" and 1lb 5oz. Never been into so many big yellow perch. Stopped by A&K Tackle to get citations for the boys but they were closed. Caught a few on bloodworms but mostly minnows on jigs and top/bottom rigs. They were all prespawn but close. I always thought the yellow perch run came before the whites. I guess not all the time. My buddy caught and released a rock in the 24" range on a 5' ultralight, never even took the fish out of the water. Awesome to fish in November in short sleeves.
