I frequently check out the bouy reports before an offshore trip. This includes checking the CLT and weather bouys inshore and offshore and the CBBT winds. Check out this link for a bouy 250 miles offshore of Charleston. The hurricane could barrel right by or directly over it. It gives wind direction and speed as well as wave height. It's already showing 23 foot waves and 25 kt winds. It's gonna be interesting to watch the changes that occur hourly 2morrow. It shows the last 23 readings too, for comparison. Just got back!! Boat secure I hope. Curtains off etc.... It looked like day we were rockfishing last year!! The bay no problem!! But I think I will wait to go offshore Sat. PM. I am PSYCHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
