I'm fixin' to try my luck at Bogue Inlet Pier, but I am not familiar with the area. I'm not keen on dropping $15 to park on weekends, though. Is there any free or cheaper weekend parking options in that region?

Your parking fee also covers your pier pass for 1 person to fish, so it isn't a bad deal. It helps keep the non-fishing beach goers out of the pier parking.

I guess my pessimistic side automatically removed that a possible scenario. $2.50/day weekend parking I can live with. Thanks Mike!

That is bizarre, they never took off 1 person for parking. We normally go each year and they charge us for all for people -- might have to show them the parking pass next time.
