Went on inshore trip with Fly Girl today. First saltwater trip of the year and had a good time as always. Red drum were hitting in inlet. Most were over slot but got two in slot. Had one 23 1/2" that hurt to throw back. Got a couple of short flounder and a 17 1/2". Glad I didn't believe the weather report.
Ready to come back in a couple of weeks and hit the surf. I found nice sand fleas on the beach when I was walking with my wife. Surprisingly she isn't very impressed with my ability to find them. Didn't throw the cast net so I don't know if the shrimp are in or not. Did see some small mullet.
