Have a 17 foot boat does anyone know of a boat ramp close

Not a boater, but I used to fish at Jugs bay and there is a boat ramp. You do need to pay a fee to launch though.

Google up on "jacksons landing, patuxent river park". It is south of Waysons C.

Its 5 a day or 30 for the year. The day pass may have gone up.

Make sure you stay inside channel markers if your run out into the open water than water can get real shallow quick going up towards waysons is deeper

Very true, even staying with in the channel markers it can get a little tough. But if you put in at Jacksons landing and go north you will be fine. Just keep a good eye out for floating logs and other crap.
