Yes we eat fish. Sorry!! akhan, they have a very good taste, but can't say what they taste like. Sweet, not at all a fishy taste.

I think everyone so far is making light of earlier threads.

I eat fish at least 6 or 7 times a week whether I catch them or not....:)

I just cut off the head & fins, gut and scale 'um, a little sea salt & pepper then into my black cast iron skillet. No flour just the crispy skin works for me. BTW these are Lake Roland gills.

You don't cut off the fins? How do you make it crispy with all that liquid in there? or is that oil?
Yes I cut off the fins. The trick to getting crispy pan fish w/o the use of flour is to use a heavy cast iron skillet and with about 1/2" canola oil. The temp of the oil gets to just over over 400* and yet doesn't smoke. Just make sure the oil is very hot before you add the fish. Question Twinkies. Have you ever fried fish? Just wondering. Try my way - you'll love it.

Fixed my way the meat is sweet and flakes away from the bone.. The crispy skin adds to the flavor and provides a nice texture. I could eat gills everyday they're that good. BTW it's very easy to catch them on every cast at Lake Roland.

LOL! Andy, I was only kidding!
I know you were kidding Pete. I like kidding around on fishing forums. Sometimes a few people get up set when you kid around. I know when someone is really trying to hurt a report. I just kill them by being nice. They can't stand when your nice to them. Then they go away. LOL!
