Fishing wasn't always about catching fish many times.
I encountered a seagull needing help before I launched my kayak. This time, it wasn't me who hooked a bird. After hooking 3 birds while kayak-fishing in the past, I learned how to rescue a bird or remove treble hooks from a bird.

Regarding Fishing - I pedaled (Hobie Revo) for 3 hours chasing some birds to see if Spanish Mac arrived in the upper Chesapeake Bay (Breezy Point, MD). Well I didn't catch any, even a small bluefish on a small golden spoon.

Here is my 4th seagull I dealt with. This time I was a good guy who didn't cause the chaos for the bird:

Great job!
Reminded me when I was young I found a baby crow that fell out of a nest on the riverbank. It was in poor shape, flies laying eggs, etc.
Took him home, cleaned him up and fattened him up on some ground venison before turning him over to a wildlife rehab guy, who released it.
A good deed like that will come back around to you!
