best fishing close to Hampstead

Gonna be in hampstead the 28th-6th, any wanna suggest the best place to fish? Beach, river, pond i dont care. My 11year old son is dying to catch anything saltwater so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Lots of good piers near there. Bogue Inlet Pier in Emerald Isle, Surf City Pier in Surf City, and Seaview Pier in North Topsail Island are all good options to pier fish.

Bogue Inlet Pier has its own web cam accessible from their website and the other two have live web cams at Surfchex.com

Topsail and Surf City areas prolly the closest..Oak Island pier and Ocean Crest Pier both in Oak Island or Ft Fisher for beach …these 3 closer than Emerald Isle
