I just got an 11 pack of the 3" chartreuse swimming mullet & 6 pack of the 3" new penny shrimp.

I just have a question on you guys opinion on them:

The smaller packs seem to have very little "juice" in them where as the bigger jugs of them are submerged in the "juice".

do you prefer the jugs of them because of the amount of juice vs the smaller packs with little juice?

i would just think it would have way more scent in the jugs.

just curious.

thanks!

I go either way... Swimming mullet are one of my favorites.. I save all the juice.. If I buy some packaged baits I just transfer them in to he bigger containers with the juice.. It won't hurt to mix them up.....There are aftermarket containers out there as well.. Plano makes a couple of nice ones.

Also using them one at a time out of the package is fine too.. Just make sure you seal the bag well after each use.

that 2na! you seem like a real chill dude. you going to be out there at all sept 18th-27th?

i bought a couple of the smaller packs, but kept looking at the little amount of juice. i will only be there like 10 days so im thinking couple packs should be just fine. if not i can always buy some more down there.

question on hook size tho. what size hook would you recommend on jig heads? also would you keep a couple weights in hand?

like 1/8 and 1/4 and 3/8 oz good options to have?

thanks again so much man!

If you're talking about fishing .. Most likely so... I will be on the planks or the beach, somewhere at the OBX ...Hopefully by the 27th the Drum will start heating up.. I'm pretty easy to find

On Juighead sizes .. It varies with conditions .. I have a 7'6" trout Rod that will sling the crap out of 1/4 ounce jig ..
It depends on your line size, (I like 10# braid), wind, colors, water and finicky fish...Although expensive I have really been diggin the heads that Gulp has been making.. But you can't go wrong with the good ole Sea Striker jig heads they have been making for decades. In various colors and sizes. You're gong to lose them, it's just a fact of life.

The gulp jog heads are pretty nice and they hold the bait very firmly. It's not coming off unless you want it to, just have to be careful not to slip and hook yourself trying to yank that thing off the jig head when you are done using it. And don't make the mistake of leaving one on and letting it dry out - they shrivel up and turn into concrete.
