Yep. It's closed too as well as the south end of Ocracoke.

It will all be fine Monday with all new holes to find and explore. It is what it is Nor Easters take away beach. Summer storms put it back. What's gone will be gone for awhile

Would love to know and/or can not wait to see what happened to that bar/start of an island south of the point. Last week it seemed to push the majority of the fish out and around the point. I am hoping that and that turtle nest the NPS did nothing with are blown blown far out to sea

Ramp 55 was mostly closed off a week ago towards the south end and would have to imagine that the surf is at dunes now.

If anyone understands the rules this is not what we wanted to happen to the turtle nest. Now they have to stay closed off the full term of 50 days.
