Fished 0730 - 1400 today - report . . .

We had some small stuff- (croaker, spot, pig fish, shark, a few small blues, a few small roundhead, and a stingray with a 2' wing spread- the only thing to test the drag).
Winds out of the east, water was choppy with white caps out to the horizon. Didn't see any bait fish . . .
Bait tested: fishbites (bloodworm, shrimp, sandworm), squid, shrimp, finger mullet, fresh cut bait.

Saturday hit BBNWR and caught two large rays, all the menhaden we needed ,spots, roundheads but nothing else. Every time I cast a half menhaden into the school, there was a mighty thunk and NO BAIT..Same thing with casting live roundheads around the bunker...Baits were too big for the rays we were catching to take in one gulp. Likely cobia, I am thinking....they have had a L-O-O-O-NG history of stealing bait from me.
