Now that Izzy came through and demolished all of the piers in Hampton Roads, there should be a sizable increase in spot and croakers this summer and summer of '05 in the ches bay. With this, hopefully there will be an equally significant increase in the large predators, i.e. cobia, red and black drum, and sharks. So any of you who study the chesapeake bay think this will or even could happen?

I fished piers alot last summer and people emptied the bay of tons of panfish, and I don't see that many of these same people are going to get out and start fishing from the shore.

May just be wishful thinking, or Izzy may have done something good for all of us out there soaking bait in hopes of hearing the zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz of the drag. :D

Man I hope that was said with tongue firmly in cheek. The commercial harvest and the remainder of the recreational harvest is wayyyyy . . . . well nevermind.
