Just curious if anyone here has experience with the bass pro shops cat Max spinning reel. Wondering if it would hold up to the rigors of the salt. I don't get to the beach as often as I would like, so I don't want to invest a ton of money in the new real. This one's only about 50 bucks And the specs on it look good. Thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Never used that particular reel, but a Penn Fierce II (tried and true reel, IMO) is that same price and/or within $20, depending on the size you want.
